Cancellation & Refund Policy

General Provisions

These terms apply to all activities, lessons, tours, rentals, packages, and other experiences offered by Ocean Freaks through the website, by direct request, or through customer support.

Each Activity is provided for a specific date and/or time slot and requires operational planning, staff allocation, equipment reservation, and, in some cases, weather and sea-condition monitoring.

The cancellation conditions shown on the page of a specific Activity, in the booking flow, invoice, voucher, or confirmation message, will apply to that Activity. Where no special conditions are stated, the standard conditions below apply.

For certain private, custom, charter, group, package, or multi-day bookings, a different cancellation deadline, including 48 or 72 hours, may apply. If so, this will be clearly stated before the booking is confirmed.

Cancellation by Customer

Standard Activities

Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of the Activity.

If the customer cancels more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, Ocean Freaks will issue a full refund of the amount paid.

If the customer cancels less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the booking is non-refundable and 100% of the booking amount will be retained.

Rescheduling

Free reschedule is available up to 24 hours before the scheduled start of the Activity, subject to availability.

Requests to reschedule made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start are not guaranteed and may be accepted only at Ocean Freaks’ discretion and subject to operational availability.

Packages and Multi-Session Bookings

Unless a different condition is stated for a specific package, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the first scheduled session.

Once the first session has started, the package becomes non-refundable.

Individual sessions within a package may be rescheduled if the request is made at least 24 hours before the relevant session starts at the time, and subject to availability.

Refund Method

Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method used for the booking.

Bank or payment processing times are outside Ocean Freaks’ control and may vary.

Cancellation by Ocean Freaks / Force Majeure

Ocean Freaks may adjust the start time, meeting point, or operating conditions of an Activity when required for safety, weather, sea conditions, tides, technical reasons, minimum participation requirements, or other operational reasons.

If Ocean Freaks cancels an Activity due to unsafe weather, sea conditions, force majeure, or any other reason attributable to Ocean Freaks, the customer will be offered either: a free reschedule to another available date, or a full refund.

Force majeure includes, without limitation, unsafe sea or weather conditions, storms, strong swell, port restrictions, official warnings, natural events, accidents, government restrictions, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control that make the Activity unsafe, impossible, or substantially impracticable.

Ocean Freaks will not be liable for indirect costs or consequential losses, including transport, accommodation, lost opportunities, or other third-party expenses.

No-show / Lateness

Customers must arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, unless a different check-in time is stated in the booking confirmation.

Arrival more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start may reduce the duration of the Activity and do not create any right to refund, discount, or extension.

Arrival more than 20 minutes after the scheduled start may be treated as a no-show.

In case of no-show, late arrival treated as no-show, failure to attend, failure to meet participation requirements, or inability to participate for reasons attributable to the customer, no refund will be due.

Legal Note

By completing the booking, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted this Cancellation & Refund Policy, including any specific cancellation conditions displayed for the selected Activity before payment.

Activities offered by Ocean Freaks are leisure services linked to a specific date or period of performance. Therefore, where applicable under Article 103 of the Spanish General Consumer and User Protection Act and Directive 2011/83/EU, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply.

Ocean Freaks provides all pre-contractual information before booking, including the essential characteristics of the Activity, price, timing, and applicable cancellation conditions, as required by consumer law.
